Notion Ultimate Notebook System

A notion template that organizes Notebooks by subjects, and allows you to create flashcards as you take notes, to review later using spaced repetition.

As a former OneNote user, I needed Notion to have subjects within a note functionality. I started off just by adding subjects to a notebook database, but I quickly discovered that Notion is capable of so much more. I kept adding features to my system and I love it more each day. I figured that if this was helping me study this much, I should share it with others! All in all this template took me a while to make and optimize, I really hope you enjoy it!   1. Notebooks with Subjects.
     • This gives you two levels of depth within a notebook, and each notebook can be given a tag to organize them further.
     • Add subjects to a notebook using the Notebook templates on the Notebook/Subjects database.
  2. Record your key concepts and terms into the Terms database while taking notes, then later study them as flashcards on a kanban board!
     • This is my favorite feature. I have retained so much more of what I have learned using this method.
     • Mark how confident you feel about the term (or even notebook) and the equation will spit out the next date to review the term based on spaced repetition.
       • Spaced repetition is based on the famous forgetting curve from Herman Ebbinghaus
       • Quote database
     • I included into this template a database that you can organize your quotes into. You can rank your quotes, and apply tags to filter the database later to see only quotes of a certain variety.
       • Almost 100 of my favorite quotes are there 😃
     • TIP! If you put 'me' for the who? tab on the database then it will auto-populate the My quotes page
       • I'm sure many of the things you say are worth documenting there 😊
  3. Fun words database
     • Similar to the Quote database, I have found keeping a word database handy to record my favorite vocab and foreign words I stumble across.
       • Again, I included many of my favs in there for you, feel free to delete them if you want.
